BC, Wake Forest, U of Miami

<p>Hi I was wondering if I have a shot at getting into these schools... (BC, Wake Forest, U of Miami)
Im currently a freshman at the University of Maryland in the Smith School of Business and got a 3.8 my first semester. I was planning on transferring for the fall 2009
700 Math 620 CR 650 Writing
I was top 15% at my high school which was competitive
If it matters i live in MA
I know acceptance into the business school is harder at BC than in other schools, is it the same for Wake and Miami?</p>

88 unwaited 96 waited in high school took mostly honors and 2 APs. about top 15%. the high school was a competitive catholic school near Boston.
i was pretty involved in high school. played basketball, football and ran track. NHS. community service trips to peru and italy. peer minister.

<p>Hey! I'm a freshman at UMCP too and planning on transferring. I'm from CT. Have you been involved with any clubs in college? I know that BC is big on EC's so if you could find a couple that you're really interested in and join them, that will be a big help. They especially look for community service.</p>

<p>i think u miami you'll have a good shot at...i think you'll have a shot at bc and wake, but like redsoxgirl said ec's are a very important factor in admissions...make sure you find some meaningful ec's at your current college</p>

<p>ok thanks a lot. i guess i should find some more diverse clubs next semester! and does anyone know if im better off applying liberal arts or business? I heard, and learned from experince, that in some cases it is harder to get into the business school at some universities...</p>

<p>You're a shoo in @ U of Miami, man. I transferred from University of Maryland (Letters and Science) to U of M with a 3.0 GPA from Maryland (only spent one semester @ MD).</p>
