Accepted

I was terrified about not getting into UMD but this past weekend I finally recieved my acceptance letter. I just thought I should tell you my stats because, admittedly, I was a less than stellar cantidate. I'm an instate student who finished his freshman year at UMBC and was applying as a fall 2007 transfer. I had completed 35 credits with a 3.03 GPA. I really was not expecting to get in but hey whaddaya know. I applied by the March 1st deadline however I sent my transcripts after spring semester which was around early June. So, i'm SO happy I got in and I hope this helps any other people worrying about getting in.

congrats!!

congrats!
but transfer is way easier to get in than freshman.
I know people with 2.7 got in.

well my gpa is 3.55 and im a transfer student from rutgers newark. I have 27 credits and my high school gpa is 3.0/sats scores sucked. What are my chances of getting in? Im applying to the business school. Oh yeah and did you get notification through the mail or that online application checking thing.

well I was instate and I went to a school already in the Maryland System. But I def think you should be able to get in to the school itself. As far as business school, I'm not too sure about that but I'd say you have a shot. Lastly, I got my notification through both but first I got it online.

hey, there
I 'm so happy to hear someone from UMBC to CP next semester, cause' i'm going too. I just got my acceptance letter last Friday.
BTW, are you gonna live in-campus or off, I know the residence hall in cp is crammed, so it might be hard to get a spot right now.
feel free to im me, my aim is ljfh001

99% chance you will not get on-campus housing. 98% you will not get housing within 3 miles of umcp :(
