@JimtheBoy is BC in my reach? if I do RD how do you think I would fare out? I have been interested in that school also, but have been hesitant about applying.

@ivyhopefulebound BC is a good target, yes. Its more focused on liberal arts studies as opposed to sciences, but its still a beautiful school in my opinion. give it thought - you’re out of state I’m assuming, and you’re part of a race that doesn’t apply much to BC, i like your chances at a school like BC

again, take the SATs or ACTs if you’re trying to be more competitive

yo chance me @

anyone know other schools that would fit my stats/ like?
also, if more ppl could post on my chances for the ivy and other schools I posted about

@ivyhopefulebound I would apply ED to Oxford College at Emory University. With your ACT & GPA, you would be in. In 2 years, you will feed into the main campus and Emory is extremely prestigious. That is just my two cents. If you blow your ED somewhere else, you might not end up getting into a “highly selective” school which is likely what you are shooting for. GOOD LUCK!

@PSC2IVY do you think I could get in without ED

To be honest with you because you are close to or already an adult, no, but do not despair because it truly an excellent school and it would be an ED that would certainly go unwasted.

@PSC2IVY what about other prestigious schools. were elese can i get in with rd

wb others. other thoughts?

Really you need to lower your expectations, if I were you I’d be looking at schools like Boston University, Bucknell, Case Western, Lafayette, Lehigh, American, or GWU

I got a score of 33 on the ACT and i could not get in though i have loads of ECs and my essay was also quite good. They need something great… i dont know what they expect.

@vikingm1 @Alden97 I am applying to CWRU and bu and gwu already. what do u think my shots are

@vikingm1 what school are you talking about

I think for BU, GWU, & CWRU are high matches. You have a very good shot of getting in. But the real prestigious schools are not likely.

@PSC2IVY that’s good to hear. What about boston college? U of rochester? NYU? Emory…I know this is a reach…but still…also do you think it is worth my time even applying to the Ivy League schools. Money isn’t an issue

Rochester and NYU are kind of in the same league as BU, GWU, and CWRU. Hey, if you want to apply to the Ivy League, go do it! Your chances are zero if you don’t apply and if you apply to all eight, it only increases your chances. But if you are looking for an ivy league education, you’ll only find it at Emory out of all of the schools you have mentioned.

Boston College as well.

@PSC2IVY Do you think I could get into BC?
I will apply to emory/oxford. I would probs get into oxford but we shall see. And thanks, I think I will apply to a couple ivy. I have nothing to lose I mean.

Do you recommend any other schools to look at that are good/fit me. I have looked at many times but I am trying to get other perspectives.
Thankyou so much

BC, maybe. Your ACT is below their bottom 25th percentile. I really think you should look at some test optional schools because you have a solid GPA and seem to have a lot of great ECs. I would recommend Brandeis, Wesleyan, Bowdoin, Wake Forest, Colby, etc…

@PSC2IVY actually, BC super scores and super score I have a 31 ACT. And yes, I am applying to pitzer and wake forest

AWESOME, two great school. You’re right BC superscores so you should be good but superscoring can complicate things so yeah. It seems considering that, that you have a strong strong chance for admittance there.
