*BEAM* e-mail from admissions director

oh xjayz, maybe asians aren't uh invited for the weekend? i dunno cuz two of my asian friends weren't and they are both pretty smart....does anyone know any asians who were invited?

yah i know a few "asians" who were invited and a few indians

hey maharani, are you an indian citizen or u.s. citizen, just curious,
and u, getrich87?

by the way, where is the maharajah?
haha

u.s. citizen, born in baltimore...well you never know, xjayz, you could have been admitted and they just didn't invite you to the weekend. i guess it's not good to jump to conclusions yet, but the word on the street is that you'll find out in like two days so good luck!

hehe and i'm waiting for the maharaja silly ;)

ya xjayz, good luck

well, u can't really be a maharani without there being a maharajah

Yeah, i'm a U.S. citizen too, born and raised in el paso texas (where there are like no asians)

pout that's not true darkhelmet

well to tell you the truth, when i was growing up my "pet name" was rani, and then when i was a "bad girl" and my mom was yelling at me she called me "maharani" like "you think you can do whatever you want and get away with it," so the name kinda stuck...my name is Archana by the way, nice to meet you

ok then my idea was completely wrong

whatever, but i doubt that they will invite every single "multicultured student" that they will admit

ya nice to meet u too, i'm dhruv

i think ur right though, a maharajah is not necessary

hope thats true, i really want to get in . ..

getrich87 good luck to you

maharani r u making the trip?

yup, my bro is really excited cuz he is a freshman there and he can't wait to show me off to all his friends..i haven't done anything to register yet tho, considering i just got the stuff today..probably will tommorow

you?

not sure... probably, it's only a thirty minute drive anyway

im going to try to convince washU to give me tickets to CA or something tho.... lol

I am non citizen indian living in the US, wonder when i will hear...

u'll know by early april for sure,

good luck

i m asian and i got the letter... authentic chinese, citizen of china, permanent resident of US

i am not a permanant resident either..

i'm 1/2 asian 1/2 white and didn't get a letter either. surprised because my school has an excellent relationship with washu. would washu be flying out all of their multicultural accepts? seems like a lot of money, but maybe there aren't that many? you would think with about 20,000 applicants there would be a lot of ethnic accepts though...

oh, and did all of you who recieved letters get them via email as well? when were they dated?
