all those who are writiing ACT on Dec. 9,

post your expected scores on each section here

mmm... I"m expecting

Math: 36
English: 36
Science: Hopefully 36 if they don't pull a fast one like the October ACT's. if not maybe a 35
Reading: 34 or 35.

What happened in the Oct ACT?

err they shoved 2 questions in the science section that could not be answered with the given information (passage and graphs). One was balancing equations and the other was some cell part question or something. It should be okay though because if you've taken all the AP Sciences like I have, including AP Environmental Science, then these shouldn't be a bother.

Oh and another thing.. i BELIEVE it was the OCT ACT... it's either OCT or NOV... but yup. Good luck all ^__^

I'm hoping for:
English - 34+
Math - 30+
Reading - 34+
Science - 30+

There's no November ACT.

How do you manage time on the Reading section (any special stategies)...

mmm. Last night I forced myself to slow down to read at 4 minutes per passage. It allowed me to grab and retain honestly like all of details. This should leave you with about 4:30 to complete the questions.

I also heard of another strategy where you underline keywords in the questions first o.o;; and then you look for those keywords in the passage. And then by the time you've answered about 8 questions, you would have realized the "main point" of the passage.

GOOD LUCK GUYS! I've been practicing reading for 2 days straight now >.>;;

thanks TheOneZ
I would try the your strategy...

Earlier I had decided not to give the test (for international locations you only pay the fees on the test day)... but suddenly I (after the Dec. SAT) i felt why not give it a try...
i guess I was a little too late to realize that (it was wednesday when i started off with my only ACT guide - Sparknotes)... I tried my first practice test today - it was the free ACT practice test that you get in the registration docket (got two wrong on Maths, and 4 on science, english was pathetic with 20 going wrong- actually I could not digest the change from SAT , reading... i left 7 on the Arts section - poor timing)

Anyways,, ALL THE BEST everyone

I Hate The Reading Section. Someone Help Me Xddd

The reading section is misery. The SAT may be sneaky, but at least they give you time to work through their sneakiness....

i know!! reading is torture!!! ...and so is science... I can never finish it in time!!

LMFAO DUUUDE THAT'S WHAT I SAID XD. I don't care if SAT is sneaky. If I can't finish the damn passages and get to the questions, who cares what the questions were -___-;;
