Do the Beaty dorms fit 2 or 4 people to each room?

There are two bedrooms that each hold two people, so there are four people total in each apartment. :)

Maybe someone in IA can answer this: Does everyone in IA pretty much get into Beaty if they want to, or are there people who want to be in Beaty who get forced into another dorm? And, if so, how easy is it to get another dorm second semester?

Hi Alex23. I replied back to one of your posts just a few minutes ago. I am going into iA as well and I would love to meet your daughter on Facebook if she has one. I need to get to know some people because I don’t know anyone going into iA. Also, there are about 300 spots in Beaty for iA students and it depends on what time we apply for housing whether or not we get those spots. I am pretty sure we will, but if we don’t, my friend who attends UF told me that he knows someone who lives in Jennings who is in the iA so I know it is possible to live elsewhere, just in case. However, I want to live in Beaty.

loveyou20, I private messaged you a few days ago (I THINK – this site won’t let me see my sent messages). Did you get it? I see you still have 11 posts, so maybe not. My daughter definitely wants to live in Beaty. We went to the IA meeting this past Friday, and it sounds like they might be able to put more than 300 in Beaty for IA. They didn’t have the problem this year, as they did not have 500 students, according to this article. [Innovation Academy limits UF students to taking on-campus courses only in spring and summer | Gainesville.com](http://www.gainesville.com/article/20121014/ARTICLES/121019731) Anyway, please reply and, if you didn’t get my message, let me know here and I’ll try again. Thanks.

Applying early for the dorm space should get you into the dorm. IA is also building living space off campus in Innovation Square. I do not kow when that will be ready, but I think it is for the same purpose (living - study - working environment).

We already paid the $200 deposit even though we’re not 100% sure she’s going to UF. But I thought it was the date you initially applied for housing (paying the $25) that determined priority. Unfortunately, daughter applied to UF at the last minute, so we didn’t submit that until November. Now, I’m realizing others submitted theirs in August. Oh, well, we will see what happens.
