because Cornell does not superscore...

The first time I took the SAT, I got 2030. The second time, I think I got 2150.
Both my CR and W improved the second time, but my M dropped.
My combined superscore is 2200, with the breakdown like this: 700 CR, 740 M, and 760 W.

Do you think my score is okay? I know they look at more than just scores, but is my SAT Reasoning alright? I am applying to CAS.

I would really love to attend Cornell next fall!

Your scores are solid.

Test Scores – 25th / 75th Percentile
SAT Critical Reading: 630 / 730
SAT Math: 660 / 770

Cornell does superscore. I have emailed them and called them.

@sun6360 are u sure?

@sun6360, WHAT? But CB’s Score Choice pdf document and Cornell’s website both say that they don’t use score choice… don’t let me have false hopes here. hahaha

Score choice =/= superscore

I know that, but I Cornell doesn’t mention anything about taking the highest scores on their website.

RainbowSprinkles, look at the comments section of this blog: [International Students, Financial Aid, and Early Decision | Cornell Engineering Admissions](http://blogs.cornell.edu/engradmissions/2009/10/28/international-students-financial-aid-and-early-decision/#comments)

So yea, Cornell DOES superscore SATs, but does not use score choice. I hope this answers your question. I know that this blog is from the college of engineering, but it says specifically that Cornell (no matter which college u apply to) only uses your best scores for admission consideration.

Hallelujah!!! You, my friend, have made my life.

Cornell absolutely does superscore. On the application checklist (to-do list), you can see the sum of your highest grades on each section.

does this apply for the ACT as well?

No, I’m pretty sure that there’s no official policy for superscoring the ACT. But I honestly don’t believe an admissions officer would penalize you for getting, say, a 29 in math one month and then later scoring a 34 in another. They will give you credit for how well you did on the exam even if one subscore for one test date is slightly lower than the others. After all they’ll probably see the highest reported subscores on your application until they look up the scores from the official reporting agencies to get a general idea of reasoning ability.

Okay, good. My superscore (no surprise) is better than either of my two attempts.
I don’t know about the ACT since I just took the SAT-sorry.

:D I finished applying to Cornell today! CAS ftw!

dont worry i got in with a 1960 SAT and that was superscored
