Has anyone changed their status from out-of-state to in-state? I’ve looked at the documents online. I’d like to know what people have done. What kind of proof do they expect? Regardless of the status, we’re thinking of buying a condo instead of renting an apartment or living in a dorm. We can resell after our son’s graduation or rent out to students and recoup some, versus a dorm/rent where it all goes to the school/landlord. If we give him the property, would that help with residency? Thanks for any insight you can share.
No, it will not help in getting him residency. If you can afford to buy him a condo you can offord to pay the out of state tuition.
Thanks for your comment. We would be doing it for his benefit. It was his decision to go out of state and he agreed to contribute to the cost. What do you base your response on? Have you had experience with this?
