Last year you were able to buy it on arrival at Penn. During the freshman orientation days just prior to class start Bed, Bath and Beyond had a booth on campus where bedding was available for sale. If you want “better” bedding, or a “better” selection there’s a large Macy’s downtown (near City Hall) where you can find what you need. Macy’s is easily reachable by Public transit. It’s about 2 miles from Penn.

Wherever you purchase it, here is a tip that may work for you.

Instead of getting a complete set, get the twin or twin XL sheets that work for your specific dorm bed, but purchase the comforter in the full/queen size instead. Many kids raise their beds and the blanket will hang down more over the sides and cover some of the storage mess under the bed. Also, some bigger kids can use the extra blanket size. Now, next year when most move off campus they wind up with full/queen size beds and then you only have to purchase new sheets instead of another complete set.

I have actually seen kids purchase their own beds for the dorms to and they go with the bigger size if they can fit them.
