Dorm Rooms

So I know all about how students need to get twin XL bedding for the standard dorm room. It even says it on the school's website. The thing is, I'm having the hardest time finding twin XL bedding that I like.

I did find the perfect bedding in a regular size twin, however.

Do you think a regular twin comforter and sheet set would actually be too small?
Should I not consider it, and just settle for a twin XL that I don't really like?

Thanks so much! And be honest, I can't make any returns once I buy it, or else I'll be bedless on movein day if i cant get the regular twin to fit!

Regular twin sheets are 5" shorter than twin xl. If you can stand the 5" loss then go for a twin bedding. I’d look into queen sheets if your need is lofted or you have space for 10" of extra fabric.

You need the XL sheets (both fitted and flat) - however you can get away with a regular twin comforter (my daughter did and it was fine)

Definitely get the XL sheets! They’ll be more comfortable, and it would look weird if your sheets were way too short for your bed.

At least get the XL sheets. You can probably get away with a twin comforter, but I know I always preferred a larger (queen or double) comforter to hide stuff under my raised bed.
