Been rejected, waitlisted, and no acceptances?

Rejected, Waitlisted, and no acceptances?

Rejected: JHU, NU, Duke, Rice
Waitlisted: WashU
Accepted: only my saftey

Any chance for vandy and emory( they don't look at class rank(which is killing me at my other schools))...1500/2200 sat score, 3.8 unweighted gpa, 94 gpa, and top20 percent...

For you, the deciding factors probably are where you're from and your skin color, assuming everything else is similarly adequate. Emory is probably different, no idea.

We'll all worried as much as you are. Just wait a few more days.

You scores are very good. You definitely have a good chance.

I am from Texas, and am asain(south indian).... I don't think state residency helps, nor does orm representation....

I think you are probably in.

BTW, SAE would Maryland be a positive or negative for location? Just wondering.

Look at this insta-response.

I really don't know, but as I'm sure you're aware, more and more kids come from Maryland these days, so it's probably reached neutral status.

Yeah, I know MD is getting more representation. As long as its not a negative I'm feeling ok.

I know exactly how you feel. Got rejected from my #1 duke and waitlisted to my #3 johns Hopkins. Still waiting to hear from cornell my top choice right now, as well as vandy. The only one I got into was my safety, uf. And I'm east Asian as well, don't know if that hurts of helps me.

How about someone from MN? Are we under-represented? I think I remember seeing something that there were only like 25 MN students last year......

aw don't feel bad my ex didn't get into rice either w/ similar stats. we're from the northeast coast and supposedly they were even tryin to get more northeast kids so... idk

got in my safety
accepted to my matches arts&sci, but basically waitlisted for all the special programs tho: geneseo 7yr dental program, mcgill (waitlisted for their biomed program), lehigh (waitlist upenn dental program ), villanova biomed sci w/e it's called lol..

and STILL waiting for vandyyyyy ugh my mail isn't here yet!

I'm on the same boat as you!
(Rejected: JHU, Duke, NU. Waitlisted: Wash U.)
And I'm DYING to hear back from Emory & Vandy.
Good luck to us all!

dw man, I know how u feel

Rejected: Duke, Rice, UChicago, Berkeley
Wled: WashU, Northwestern
Accepted: USC, Pitt, Tulane, OU lmao

34 ACT, 2130 SAT(weak I know), 760/700/680 SAT IIs, and I go to a math and science school

accepted: state saftey (full ride), carnegie mellon u, michigan (out of state, too expensive)
rejected: cornell ED, rice, notre dame, northwestern, chicago, uva, duke
waitlist: washu (like everyone else)

SAT: 2140, ACT: 32 SATIIs: BAD GPA: 3.6 UW took 13 AP classes throughout hs

i'm just an average kid from kansas, any chance for Vanderbilt?

ND rejected you? what?! but your stats fit that doesn't make sense that they didn't waitlist you =(

^^^ Yah, dude thats messed up, u should had a great chance at Notre Dame...wow...

Im in at jhu, colgate, nova, bc and holy cross.... however I really wanted to go to northwestern and was waitlisted there so I kind of feel your pain. Do you all think it is worth it to stay on waitlists?

if you don't get in anywhere better within the next week cuz remember you prob won't officially hear from waitinglist schools til after may 1 when you've already submitted a deposit to your back up so make sure the $500-700 you will lose is worth waiting for

where are you leaning towards out of those schools? cuz i'm in nova too and my parents love that its catholic, but i'm waiting on lehigh. which do you think it better?

Im leaning towards Hopkins. My sister goes to Nova and she likes it, plus its sweet that they are in the final four (pathetic but it will effect my decision) but when I visited I really felt it was filled with a lot of silver spooners. I feel like Hopkins is the most prestigous school of the bunch where I would get the best education.

But yeah Nova is great if you end up there, Im certainly not dismissing it yet plus Im in honors and gave me a small scholarship. But i personally would go to Lehigh. I think it has a better reputation and you will find a smarter student body there

i agree w/ the JHU decision. cept, get ready for an extremely competitive atmosphere (grade-wise)
congrats on all those good school regardless of your decision!

ah, no i've heard that too lol, but the rep holds up pretty well..
think of it this way: you'll be networked and bffs with a bunch of silver spooners. i've got some friends there who've told me that their teacher was just like it doesn't matter if you do that well here, you're gonna be makin a lot of cash lol

have you heard of SUNY geneseo by any chance? cuz if i get rejected everywhere else (hopefully not) it'll come down to those three =</p>

acceptances: bc, bu, university of rochester, bucknell, gw, villanova, franklin & marshall, miami
rejections: duke (my sister goes there), northwestern
wait list: wash u

I know I applied to too many schools haha. but i was really hoping to get into one or two that were a tier up.

ACT: 35, GPA: 3.8, taken 9 AP's
