Is this silly?
I am currently a sophomore economics science major with no premed requirements complete (im in calc though).
However, I am very much interested in the health field and after MUCH thought, I want to attend medical school after undergrad.
Is this a smart move to make so late on at a school like Hopkins?? I'm willing to work for it

At the very least, you’d be EXTREMELY busy.

Why medical school, if you don’t mind me asking? There are literally thousands of other careers in the healthcare field. You can even combine econ with healthcare and have a very good chance of getting a job right out of school.

When I was an undergraduate at Hopkins (many moons ago ), one of my housemates decided, at the end of his sophomore year, that he wanted to go to medical school. He was an English major and had taken none of the premed prerequisites. He started with courses the summer before junior year, took a number of courses junior year, the following summer, and as a senior. He graduated on time and was accepted at UCLA medical school. Today he is a psychologist in Santa Monica. So it can be done.

Don’t schools also have post bac programs? I believe YALE and UCONN for instance.

Hopkins has a post bac premed program as well. But when you’re only in you third semester of college, there is still time to get the prereqs done, particularly if you are willing to take summer courses.
