<p>From reading these threads, that's what it seems like to me. Everyone that has gotten that status within the past few days are getting in. This makes me worried cause I my status is still on "We have received your fall grades." Yesterday a classmate of mine checked her stats online in class and I saw that hers was being reviewed. I was surprised and if the case is that she gets in, I'd be pretty jealous.</p>

<p>When I talked to an admissions person at Explore USC, she did say they have a system. It's not a system of looking at applications randomly. What that system entails, I don't know, but it would make sense to me that during the prelim review they would both look to see everything's complete, and make a prelim judgement on the app. So I would think that they'd review the most likely to be admitted apps first. I don't know if that makes sense but it seems reasonable, and practical.
Not that this speculation answers any questions.</p>

<p>Well some people's status have changed from "We have received fall grades" and "Preliminary review" to "reviewed by the admission committee." It'll probably change as they send out waves of acceptances. If it doesn't change....then I guess that means you're denied?</p>

<p>For some reason the date where it says "Last edited on <strong>/</strong>/__" doesn't change, which probably means that message isn't a "status update" per say, but may be leading to one?</p>

<p>Haha mine says that too. I'm just HAPPY that my status isn't prelim review anymore!! haha, even if it doesn't mean I'm accepted, I'm just sick of looking at that prelim review message!!!!! Hopefully it changes to we're currently reviewing!!!!!!</p>
<p>honestly i don't think it makes a difference. i know someone who already got his acceptance letter and his status page still says "we have received your fall grades". i think we're just psyching each other out at this point, but don't worry! everything will come out eventually ^^</p>

<p>I just got an acceptance packet from USC. The first thing I saw was "Welcome to the Trojan Family," pretty cool.
So I'm guessing that the changed status has something to do with USC sending out acceptance letters.</p>
