Below Minimum Grade For a UCSC Psychology TAG Requirement!

According to the UC Santa Cruz website students applying to the TAG program in psych must have a minimum grade of B- in a statistics course, I received a C in statistics :frowning: I meet every other requirement (with full IGETC completion + all major specific recommended courses). I’m wondering if there is anything I can do meet this requirement at my community college. And if not should I even bother submitting the application?

  • I am a student in the Peralta Community College District
  • I currently have a 3.34 GPA

I went and checked. Yes, it is a requirement and there’s not anything you can do about it. So DO NOT TAG UCSC. Pick another campus because you’re going to lose the TAG. However, I would still apply. You’re comfortably situated in the middle of the GPA mid-range of admitted transfers to that major. Just pick another UC to TAG to take advantage of a safety campus.

Thank you! I will use my tag at U.C. Santa Barbara instead.
