DAVIS PSYCH TAG CRITERIA

Hello,
I’m a psych-bio major applying for TAG this fall, but I was reading the requirements for that major and they state:

"Psychology TAG applicants must have a 3.20 overall GPA all required courses comparable to the
UC Davis courses listed below completed by the end of the final spring term prior to fall transfer.

At the time of TAG application, students must meet or exceed a minimum 2.90 technical GPA in the
selective major courses, complete all major courses with a letter grade and cannot have a grade below
a C in any required major course. If one course from the group is completed at the time the TAG is
submitted, that course must be completed with a B grade or better."

They require I take psych, stats, and a bio class, but the part I’m not understanding is what minimum grade they want? This summer semester I finished my bio class (the last req class I need) but I ended with a C. Since I have finished these required classes before applying for TAG, does that mean the C is okay? The “if one course from the group is completed at the time the TAG is submitted” confuses me. I have an overall GPA of 3.25 and I passed psych and stats with an A, but this C in my bio class has left me feeling anxious to whether I’ll still be eligible.

It says the cumulative for the major courses must be 2.9.

If you have more than one of that group completed, you can have the C, as long as cumulative is 2.9.

If only one of those 3 was completed by summer you need a B in that course.

You are saying you will have taken all of the required courses (what they call the “selective major courses”). Assuming your definition and their definition of the classes are the same then you need to have a 2.90GPA at the time you file TAG in those courses.
