BTW, your complete and utter lack of respect for the humanities is comical.

I never said that I didn't have any respect for the humanities.

On the other hand, I, and many other people, have a lack of respect of the grading standards and rigor of certain humanities classes. The fact is, a 4-unit class should be roughly as difficult as another 4-unit class in terms of both grading and workload, regardless of what subject that class is in. Otherwise, the units should be adjusted accordingly to reflect the 'true' difficulty of the class.

Yet that doesn't happen. Consider this quote from a report from Berkeley's Committee on Teaching:

""The physical sciences and engineering had rigorous grading standards roughly in line with the recommendations from 1976," stated Rine, "while the humanities and social sciences in many classes had all but given up on grades below a B, and in many courses below an A-, "

Why is that, conor? You tell me - why is it that humanities classes should be graded easier than engineering and physical science classes? I would like to hear a good reason for why this should be so.

Your comment not only shows a lack of relevance, it is also downright racist. I'm surprised the moderators haven't banned you.
