<p>I called them, they gave me the answer. They called me 8 minutes later. When I saw the 510 area code I almost evacuated in my pants because I thought the first person made a mistake. But, I was wrong. It was an admissions person letting me know I was accepted!!! I am so happy right now.</p>
<p>So, everybody who got granted by appeal, received a call from the admission office?</p>

<p>@nerdy: Well, I’m 2 years behind my high school class but it was definitely worth the wait to go to a school I really wanted to be at. Give it a lot of thought.</p>

<p>@tomstanford: I totally did the same thing and also thought the first acceptance was a mistake! that’s so funny. Then they called me back. They said the site could be up and running by the end of the night but our SIRs are due asap once they are.</p>

<p>all notifications were by phone, first when I called and then when a second woman called me back. she ended up telling me I got in for fall. the website shouldn’t be up til tomorrow she said because of a “computer glitch”. </p>

<p>I am out of the country and but my home phone alerts my phone through wifi if my house is receiving a phone call. I received a phone call from UC Berkeley around 430, but couldn’t answer it because I am in Mexico. </p>
