I had to wait a few days before my Conditions of Admissions was posted but I had memorial weekend to deal with. I’m guessing they’ll have everyone’s CoA and FA reports done by tomorrow if not later today.

Who’s excited to set Berkeley as their network and school on Facebook?
My email is going to be awesome.

I’m kinda sad they don’t have an app like Davis has. Although those daily updates are getting annoying now. I have no idea how to remove an app from Facebook, haha.

Ahahah dmitry :)

I can’t wait to withdraw my SIR and pending appeal (don’t want to take up other people’s spot) from other UCs. SIR with Berkeley, have all documents sent over, register for classes, pay for them and then only take a breath and realize I am a Cal Student :)

I called the admissions office again, we probably can’t do anything until Monday, which is the housing deadline day. She said they’re assigning us Admissions Advisors tomorrow and then entering that into the database which will then process it and allow our SIRs. Definitely by Monday though.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand mine just loaded early. huh. Well i appreciate conservative time quotes. Doesn’t get my hopes up.

nice, you can get it all done now then :)

ughh except there’s an error on mine. The required classes I must complete (math) is missing one and has some random creative writing class in its place??? I emailed my advisor…sigh…

Congrats to everyone who made it!

wait…im still confused …how do you guys know you got in? bc of myberkeley? or bc of the call? cause my myberkelyapp still says in review…

what major were you appealing for jenniferx?

philosophy…has anyone found out from the college of letters and sciences?

Jennifer mine is still in review also for peace and conflict studies. Not sure why it’s taking longer.

hmmm has anyone received an appeal acceptance/rejection from l&s? my guess is we are wait-listed to see which appeals decide to go or not. either that or it is bc i turned mine in later. when did you turn yours in? I sent mine i think on may 14th and i didnt postmark it (tho i live in sf so maybe it miraculously got there in time), i was shocked to see that they even acknowledged it on myberkapp a couple days ago! Anyways my guess is it’s one of those two reasons.

Several people from a few pages back received their decisions from L&S. I’d suggest you call the admissions office tomorrow and check on the status of your appeal.

just called… It is still in review according to the admissions officer. So I guessing I’m probably waitlisted for appeals…oh well i guess its not a rejection (yet:p)

They said the same to me. I wonder how many appeals they choose to waitlist…seems like they rejected so many already. What was your appeal based on Jennifer?

I wouldnt say my new information was “new and compelling.” I basically explained why I choose to not attend a community college and instead went to a 4yr (based of family troubles and financial reasons) My gpa was decent (3.92) and better than some of the philosophy majors that got in, which were around (3.6 from what i saw on college confidential/ statistics)…of course I don’t know why i was rejected but it seemed (thro comparing myself to stats on here and on ucstatsticsfinder) that transferring from a 4yr at least played some role in my rejection. anyways …i explained this all much better in the actual appeal (which was 3 pages long… idk if that is long or short compared to how long they are usually or even what people usually talk about in appeals). On top of that I talked about my respect for specific professors of philosophy at berkeley to show how dedicated i am to the subject/school. I showed a lot of admiration I have for the school and the professors

what was yours about, jordan?

Can anyone see their financial aid? The housing app is due in 3 days how do they expect us to do that if we don’t know our FA yet =/.

@reme11 you should be able to view your FA package here <a href=“CSAC - Student Landing Home”>CSAC - Student Landing Home;
