<p>To UCBChemEgrad: I am sure you are correct about EECS majors not being potheads. However, all kinds of kids are going to be in the dorms. I would not want my son to have to worry about potential poor fit in the dorms.</p>

<p>Schools other than Ivies send likely letters/emails. Some of the top engineering schools are public. Their likely letters tend to be far more subtly worded than the Ivies' likely letters.</p>
