^ Ah I already plan to do that and thanks for the tip I’m going to also watch for that.

i’m also taking multivariable at cc and hoping to take accounting online through cal extension lol, but thankfully i’ve already met my american cultures requirement randomly through music 8 online at foothill which i’m doing now…not sure if it’s offered over summer, but there are literally about 400-500 students taking it this quarter lol, lots and lots of spaces and it’s mega easy…oh, and possible to finish the entire course with an A in a week lol

Assist says my school doesn’t offer any AC classes Boo for Fullerton!

Hey, ya I took Phot8H and am currently taking Mus8H right now.
Photo 8 and Music 8 are very very easy, and Music 8 is actually the most popular online class at our school. You only need 2500 (roughly half the points available–pick and choose) to get an A.
I think it’s better to take it at a CC ASAP than using up class time/tuition fees!

^and you only need 2000 points if you don’t take it as honors lol

oh, it’s 2000? hahaha my bad!!

did u guys satisfy the American History and Institutions Requirements?

for that one we just need ONE course from this right?
- HIST 7A, or HIST 7B, or POL SCI 1.

i’m not sure if you just need one course or two…i’m satisfying it with ap us history and ap us government and politics

^do we satisfy it by passing AP US history and AP us government, or we need to get a score of 4 or something on the AP test?

umm…i’m not sure, i got 5’s…but i’ll look it up in a sec

EDIT: you just need 3’s, so passing

[American History and Institutions - Office Of The Registrar](http://registrar.berkeley.edu/?PageID=ahi.html)
i found it too. i guess we just need to pass the class, or we can just take one history course or polisci course from CCC, which i did. i guess now i jsut need that AC course

Are there any other required general education courses besides fulfilling the IGETC and the American Cultures requirement for Berkeley?

^just the american history and institutions requirements that me and lomkh were talking about. most people should have already satisfied it though

^kk thanks celticsfan.

I will be able to take this anytime when I am at Berkeley before I graduate, correct? I will be transferring to Berkeley for Fall 2010, but have not fulfilled the American Cultures requirement yet. When is the latest I could complete this? As for petitioning to see if a course would fulfill the requirement that is not on the list, where should I go?

Yes. You can fulfill the American Cultures requirement anytime you are at Cal.

Also keep in mind that for the College of Letters and Science (which most majors are in), you need a minimum of 6 upper division units outside your major.

Because I want to concentrate on classes in my major, I will be taking an upper division class that satisfies the AC requirement. That way I only have to take two classes outside my major. (I regret that that is all I can take, as I am interested in other things besides philosophy, but I already have a pretty full schedule just getting all the philosophy requirements done.)

That AC requirement is tough to find. My CCC doesn’t have a class that matches up the AC req.

so for these upper div units, they can be from ANY subject right? say i want to take an upperdiv that’s almost completely unrelated to my major (sociology) but i’ve completed the pre-reqs for it. could i still take it? thx

iZychr, if you want to really easily knock that requirement out of the way, I strongly recommend taking the online version of Music 8 at Foothill College over the summer. It is notoriously easy and pretty interesting too

It’s full with a waitlist.
