Hey folks it seems that Berkeley is going to be my college for the next 4 years and I've got some questions in relation to housing.

Basically my first question is, where is the best housing?

Secondly, I got assigned to Bowles quad, however I'd like to move to a place with a Double Room (preferably in Suite) and coed, e.g. Clark Kerr, Foothill or one of the Units. I sent an email to the Housing people with this, would anyone care to give me what chance of success it has?

Thx.

(Yes, I do realize I should have asked this question a bit earlier).

Out of curiosity, what colleges in the U.S. did you get accepted to? I think you'll dig Berkeley.

But to answer your first question, it depends on what you want out of housing. Lots of social, then the units, big rooms, then CK, Foothill, or Bowles.

Answer to second question, slim chance. I know lots of guys that got Bowles and started off crushed, but ended up really liking it. They go and serenade the girls at Stern and their suites are well liked. Good drinking songs, great comraderie. Very British looking on the o/s.

You have an interesting screen name; especially when taken in the context of
the question you're asking here.

@Beatchick,

Thanks that was informative. I am waitlisted in Princeton, but based on what the people on the forums there are saying my chances of getting in are c.1% (since I haven't yet been contacted). Otherwise Chicago, but I prefer Berkeley.

What I want out of housing? I want it to be social, but not blasting death metal all night if that's at all possible. Big rooms are very useful. So yes, I think CK would be preferable.

About Bowles, I've spent my last two years (in education) in a single-sex institution, not fun.

@NoAssumptions,

Actually my name is based on one of the greatest films of all time.
