Hey guys, I'm a 2014 spring admit to UC Berkeley and I wasn't fortunate enough to get into FPF. My major is ME and I'm trying to keep up with the Fall admits and graduate in 4 years. I was wondering if taking Math 53, Phys 7A, E7, and E10 in one semester is a good idea or not... and if not, which engineering class should I drop?

I think it would be a bad idea to do 4 technicals your first semester. I would drop E7 because it is a very time consuming class (the assignments take 10+ hours per week). That would put you at 11 units though so maybe take an easy humanities class or a 1 unit seminar (I would suggest BioE 25, very easy) to get to the required 12 units.

I was FPF last year and took Physics 7A, Math 53, and E10; it was a great schedule. Take a humanities or R1B or something else.

EDIT: LOL, yeah I took BioE25, too. My schedule last year was so chill.

So, Phys 7A, Math 53, E10, English R1B, and BioE25? i’m thinking about using bio engineering to fulfill my series requirement too

It wouldn’t fulfill anything. If you take your R1B, BioE25 is useless. I only took BioE25 because I wanted to take 12 units since it was my first non-fpf semester.
