Berkeley VS UMich Honors + Ross preferred admission

Can you please help me decide on the college? I narrowed the choice down to two, but its still really hard to pick one of them.

UC Berkeley
I just got into UC Berkeley (college of L&A) without any special options

U. of Michigan -Ann Arbor
I got into UMich in the LSA Honors Program
I also got a preferred admission from Ross School of Business
(They'll let me in if I take the prerequisite courses and get a GPA of 3.3 or higher in my freshman year)

I really prefer hot weather to a cold one,
Do you think it would be wise for me to choose Berkeley over Umich (for the weather) despite its uncertainty in academics?

PS. Sunny, hot weather
=lots of sports I'm used to playing + less lethargy + lively people and more fun+ a feeling that I should be engaged in some kind of work

PLEASE HELP~~

Honors program is not necessarily better, but Ross PA is pretty sweet. Are you intent on majoring in Business? If so, do you intend to work on the East Coast or West Coast when you graduate? Is cost of attendence a factor we should keep in mind? I am inclined to recommend Michigan in your case, but it really depends on your personal circumstances.

I live in Asia so it doesn't really matter where I work after graduating.
Hmmm.. I think I'll enjoy studying business but that might change once I get into college. But its likely that I'll stay with business since it offers the highest pay and a guaranteed career..
Cost of attendence doesn't matter that much between Berkeley and Michigan in my case (both are similarly expenseive for OOS living in Asia)
Could you please also tell me which school is better to transfer from? My family might not be able to support me for all four years, so I have to keep transfer in mind too.
Thanks for the reply~

Thats a tough one.

both are awesome colleges and both are awesome campuses.

umm.... i guess with your personality you'd enjoy UC Berkeley slightly more.

But none the less, UMichigan is still sweet.

congrats. They are both equally awesome choices in my opinion

Definately go to U Michigan. Ross is just too good to let go. You'll be guranteed a high paying job on Wall Street. :)

Both Michigan and Berkeley BOTH have good business schools and are practically the same academically speaking. (I give Berkeley (overall school) the edge). The business programs are equally the same according to the US News Rankings and Berkeley is better according to the businessweek rankings.

In this situation, you should just go with the college of best fit. In this case, it would be berkeley.

Given those facts, I would say go for Ross. Haas is as good as Ross, but it is definitely not easy to get into. You are virtually guaranteed Ross, so that pretty much makes it a no-brainer.

Joshua, in terms of overall recognition, Berkeley is definitely a notch above Michigan. Internationally, it is a notch above all US universities save Harvard, MIT, Stanford and maybe Yale and Princeton.

However, in Business circles, I would say Ross is as recognized, if not more recognized, than Haas.

However, the reason I would recommend Ross over Cal in this case is because Ross is a virtual reality for the OP whereas Haas is a 50/50 bet at best.

Thanks Everyone-
I ended up choosing Berkeley.. I hope I'll like it;
TY

I wouldve for sure picked UMich, but hope it works out.
