Berkeley?

<p>i agree...h-w is a strong school ...yet..what public schools in California is good?</p>

<p>Tim, to reply to your original question, I dont think you'll be admitted because a 4.2 is still below the avg. for Berkeley. Berkeley wants candidates with very high GPA's, while test scores are not as important.
Last year, a lot of the people in my school had 1500's, but crappy GPA's like 4.0 W or 3.9 W. None of them got admitted to Cal.
You do have a very small chance though. When I attended Orientation for Berkeley, the vice chancellor told us that 60% of the factor in admitting a student is his GPA and test scores, while 40% goes to essays, ECs, AP tests, etc. I'm pretty certain you will be admitted to UCSD though. Your admission to UCLA would be about as low as Berkeley... maybe a 15% chance for LA and 10% chance for Cal.</p>

<p>public schools in cali? i know arcadia high school is a very good school... and some magnet programs in other schools</p>
