Berkeley's rep, or lack thereof, on the east coast

"If those were big words for you, then you probably do not belong in college."

Was "blitzkrieg" really the big word? Or was it "corrode"? ha...

Guys...

Stop making fun of my sister.

1) She is hot, believe me.
2) I go to Harvard so I must be right.
3) I think you are all idiots so you all must be wrong.

"If those were big words for you, then you probably do not belong in college.

The GRE record exam tests students over vocabulary they should know when as college juniors. The prep book sitting on my desk comprises 3,500 words, all of which should be known. Given your current argument, it is clear that you are nowhere near mastering the vocabulary of a college student."

I'm still in high school you dumb ****.

"Guys...

Ok, this is obviously a joke.

Everything makes more sense now.

Haha. Nice, gabe.

awww AznMerd can I play with your freshly grown armpit hair? you are so sexy. has your voice cracked?

gabe, shut up. I am jhust smarter then you.

Nspeds...I love how you attack my character and how you proceed to brag about getting into "Rice" and "UChicago". Though I'll be the first to admit they're great schools, they do not have the jaw dropping power of the HYPS I am bound to gain admittance to.

So, continue acting arrogant and pompous. You will someday work for me =)

I want to shatter an assumption:

I bet TallKell isn't even hot!

if tallkell isn't hot, there's no use for these threads. That is, our backlash against the beautiful people would be mislead. All those popular/beautiful girls who gave me wedgies and locked me into lockers for hours on end will feel my wrath one day. resumes bench press

I saw her, she is HELLA hot. She is SO hot that it all the words in the dictionary (even the 3,500 GRE words) can't describe how hot she is!
In other words, while this thread has been mildly amusing, there is no point in posting about it anymore. gg, good game.

All I've seen is a facebook picture, but she doesn't look that hot to me.

hahaha tallkell thinks shes the ****...bc she got into harvard? no, because shes transferring to berkeley from a cc. honestly. it takes hard work and its beautiful to meet your goals....but seriously, you dont have as many bragging rights as you think you do. ever since you got accepted you've been turning into a cocky b i t c h lol

by the way, good luck to all of the people who have to suffer cough i mean run into you once you start at berkeley....a supercilious snob from the OC, JUST WHAT BERKELEY NEEDS.

Was that really necessary? What gave you the motivation to criticize someone for being a "cocky b i t c h" then turning around and throwing insults? Does criticizing someone (who's not even posting anymore) because other people did it before give you some kind of satisfaction?

Your argument:
1) Yogurtcup mocked TallKell.
2) Mocking constitutes an ad hominem attack.
3) If you can't tell, you're an idiot.
Therefore, Yogurtcup committed ad hominem.

Clearly, your argument is fallacious...even without clause 3, clause 2 would still be false, and your argument would be false.

The Argument is valid. If A than B, A, therefore B. Whether or not it's a good arguemnt is a different matter.

A fallacy is an error in reasoning, not in the truth of the statment.

For some reason a popular major (and far more popular than "mass communications") for going to law school is... philosophy!

In fact, who scores among the highest on the LSAT? Philosophy majors.

The relationship here isn't necessarily causal. Meaning just because you took philosophy doesn't mean you'll learn anything to help you do better on the LSAT. It could be, among a variety of other things, that philosophy majors on average have more money to spend on test prep as opposed to their peers in other majors.

I have a problem with this entire thread. It seems like every feels the need to vent whatever pent up frustrations they seem to have.

Completely ridiculous.

I never made that argument.

I didn't mean to imply you did. But it's often the first conclusion people come to when they see information like this.

"The Argument is valid. If A than B, A, therefore B. Whether or not it's a good arguemnt is a different matter.

A fallacy is an error in reasoning, not in the truth of the statment."

Did you read anything I said? First of all, the argument IS FALLACIOUS, because of the third clause. Secondly, I noted t hat if the third clause were omitted, the argument would be false (not fallacious). I was first approaching the validity of the argument form, then whether or not it
