Best AP US History Book

Hey guys,
What is the best/worst AP US History book besides AMSCO?
I am deciding between:
1. direct hits
2. princeton review
3. barrons
4. 5 steps to a 5
5. crash course
6. kaplan

The general consensus DH then crash course last month or so.

Direct hits.

anyone know if peterson’s is good?

Direct hits

Sent from my iPhone using CC

I’m going to say DH also. I’ve never even heard of Peterson’s.

I recommend REA.

Crash course saved my life on the AP test

Direct Hits is really good. Crash Course is pretty much the same thing, but I would say slightly weaker.

so you think just direct hits and rea and i’ll be fine?
i just feel like i also need some practice questions and those two don’t have enough…
which books has the best practice q’s?

Direct Hits is all you need

My advice would be try to go to a bookstore and skim through a few pages of each book to find the one that works best for you. I used PR and got a 5 so it all depends on your personal preference.

Last year I used PR and read the post on the Direct Hit’s facebook page.

well i got most of those books from the library and all of them except dh and rea seem pretty similar, so i’m not really sure if one is truly any better than the others
i already have crash course

oh and direct hits is a pretty new book…has anyone used it and gotten a good score on either the ap test/sat ii?
