Best "Arthur" Character

Buster was always my favorite character from Arthur, but I could make a case for Francine, Binky, or Sue Ellen.

If no one knows what I'm talking about, this could become a rant thread

Francine always bothered me a little. I prefer Alan, or maybe George. Emily (D.W.'s friend) always struck me as being extremely nice.

Now, for minor characters, Dr. Fugue is easily the greatest, if only for the line, “However, you may have a flavorless lozenge”.

Oh man! George is so cool! Emily is like a younger, franco-phile muffy, though, and I don’t remember Dr. Fugue, but he sounds pretty excellent.
However, that does remind of how cool Mr. Ratburn, Mrs. Ratburn (a substitute teacher once I think), and Mr. Ratburn’s teacher from the medieval faire were.

Really? Emily is like Muffy? Hmmm…to me, she seems like a foil to D.W. When D.W. complains and cries about other people having a bigger allowance, Emily offers to share hers with her. She refuses to play D.W.'s game in which whoever tells her they love her gets her toys.

Mr. Ratburn is awesome! I remember that in the episode where Arthur’s class directs a musical, he was reading a book by Stanislavsky. That in itself is pure win.

This thread is pure win!

Buster was the best. I never really liked the girls. Francine and Muffy were annoying.

I want to say that this is the best thread to ever grace HSL.

I sort of connected with Sue Ellen because I travel a lot, but I loved Francine, Mr. Ratburn, and D.W. for antics. I also loved Binky for playing the clarinet like me. =D

Fern was boring.

Who else loved that musical episode to death?
HAVING FUN ISN’T HARD
WHEN YOU’VE GOT A LIBRARY CARD!

EDIT: This may be of interest-

The Brain was such a moron.

Buster and Binky

Buster for the win

oh this is tough…how do i choose just one character?
i actually really liked arthur!
but i was also a fan of brain and francine
i loved the sugar bowl!

Francine and Buster’s dads were pretty cool too. Don’t ask me why.

Arthur and Buster were the best. They’re the epitome of two normal best friends.

Dude. No. You’re wrong.

You know, the episodes I enjoy least are those in which Pal, Kate, and Amigo talk. Does anyone else feel the same way?

^Yup.

I liked the snow storm episode the best. Some of the ones that only came on once were pretty cool too.

I like Buster and George, the snow storm episode was one of my favorites. I also liked the episode they did about the library card, it made me want to go and get one.

Does anyone know what actually happened to DW’s snowball? I’ve always wondered that…

I’m not sure, but I think their parents did something to it…

In the November SATs the grammar question about Dracula made me think of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde and I got the Brain’s song from the library musical stuck in my head during the test.

And the Kate/Pal episodes did suck.

I love the Jekyll/Hyde one!

I also loved the one that was all about Carmen (the opera)…but I only ever saw it once :frowning: I really want to see that one again!

^me too! I loved all the musical montages from that one episode!

Mr. Ratburn ftw.

musical episode=win, but the medieval faire one was always my favorite for some reason
