NYC all the way! It’s just awesome here. Your never bored. You can go shopping on Fifth Ave. in Manhattan, or go watch a Yankees game in Bronx, or go to the Coney Island to enjoy some rides & walk on the boardwalk in Brooklyn, or catch a movie on Jamaica Avenue in Queens. There’s so much to do! I was born and raised here & i dont plan on ever leaving =]

London, Dublin and Chicago are my three favorite cities in the world.

I love all those cities. I love Chi-town. DC is where I’m from, Boston is my future home, and I love both Pennsylvania cities. And also, THE NYC!!

Out of the three, New York (actually considering all five of its counties) for folks that actually have a fair amount of money.

^^ I LOVE Boston too but it’s not big enough to qualify as a BIG (note the caps) city.

^ True true. I might get to see my aunt there. If I majored in her field I could work under her up there.

I think this thread has a sort of East Coast/ Mid-Atlantic bias. What happened to the midwest/south/west coast love?

^ The west coasters aren’t on until later tonight. Expect there to be a heavy West Coast bias in 3 hours.

is from west coast

Based on visits to family members:

San Francisco is an expensive place to live in or shop in (except maybe Chinatown), but has great food. One should get used to hobos, though. Farmers’ markets abound. Rains a lot, windy a lot, but rarely snows.

Boston - “Very college town”. Doesn’t feel as big city-ish as SF. Lots of museums. Changing colors on leaves in October-ish here (actually anywhere in New England) are breathtaking.

Both have great architecture, though I haven’t been to enough cities to tell if they all do anyway.

To bring up a topic from like page 5-6, I think Canada’s pretty cool.

NYC it seems like some people haven’t been to all of NYC (meaning all five boroughs) NYC is not just Manhatten. Brooklyn and Queens is a great place to go in NYC. It has a home feeling with a big city touch, and its the culture area of the city.

NYC is the best city to live in from the list you gave. Why do you think its called the greatest city in the world.

Boston Seattle or Vancouver :]

No one vouches for Los Angeles??!

^uhh no. The city of LA itself is a piece of ****. Seattle is undeniably the best city in the US to live in.

^arguable. Think about the weather. Other than that though its pretty sick :P

I vouch for San Diego. Besides LA I don’t want to deal with the crazies there. As long as no one says Compton.

My favourite city in the world is Compton! Its so nice and green and luscious. With its rolling hills and hobbit holes. There is no evidence of any crime there.

But Los Angeles…isn’t it one of THE BEST cities in the world??

DC FTW! Having grown up here, it’s just awesome. If you’ve never visited, you have to come at least once.

During the summer, you get on the Metro (really quiet in the 12-1 slot), go down to Foggy Bottom and just walk. There’s always free art expos and music shows, cultural events, you name it.

All that historical stuff is fun as well, you going to see the monuments, appreciate the architecture.

Sooner or later you’ll come across a university maybe Georgetown or George Washington, where you can get a taste of the college culture (there’s a bunch of free stuff there too).

And then you’ll hit old town where there’s cobble streets and EXCELLENT malls.

After like 8 hours of fun you’ll get back on the metro (At this point it’s so crowded that your standing with your face pressed to the window) and come home.

Things you might see: Senate meetings if you’re into that, political rallies with free stuff, the best orators in the nation, a bunch of people from different countries (the cafes are stocked with European people). Everything’s eclectic!

Could there be a better day?

If you can’t already tell, I’m WAYYY biased:)
