Why is your state better than others?

Florida - Spanish women.

New York, mainly New York City - Because its the greatest city in the world.

NY is probably the best state to grow up in.

I don’t know if I’d recommend it for young adults because of the high cost of living. For 30-somethings I would, I suppose.

Texas. It has a bit of everything. I also dig Colorado and Connecticut.

Louisiana, because New Orleans is the most unique city in the U.S.
Texas is fine, though. We’re moving there in the spring. Massachusetts is nice too.

I was typing stuff then I realized it isn’t

California has a bit of everything, too and relatively better weather.

Maine - we have lots of trees and lobsters and rocks and stuff

Kansas because you’ll never meet a nicer community. Not all of the state is rolling prairies and farms.

Jersey cause Snooki is here, and you can catch glimpses of the Jersey Shore cast if you spend enough time walking around Seaside.

My state is NOT the best. I cannot contribute to this thread.

New York. New York City, specifically Manhattan. :)

California. No hurricanes, no snow.

^ Earthquakes, wildfires

^^mean people

I live in southern California and I hate it. Mean people, way too expensive cost of living, high taxes, earthquakes, no seasons or variance in weather, superficial, overrated as hell. No, I do not go to the beach every day and run into celebrities whenever I’m out on the street. ****.

So no, California is NOT the best state to live in. You’re better off somewhere else, trust me. The only good thing about CA is In-N-Out.

^ You forgot about South Coast Plaza, Disneyland, the gays in San Francisco and Stanford

Earthquakes, wildfires, mudslides, illegal immigration gone wild, most superficial people on earth, deserts, high cost of everything, state bankruptcy, police chases on TV, USC cheating in football, no NFL team in LA, the Clippers, riot every time a cop gets found not guilty…yeah, sign me up.

Texas: Stable home price, low cost of living, rated #1 Place to do business by CEO magazine, no state income tax, friendly people, spanish women, I could go on and on and on.
