As a rising freshman preparing to go to boarding school in New England, I decided along with preparing packing lists, to watch movies relating to/circling around boarding schools!

I remember loving The Trouble with Angela as a little kid - old Disney movie with Hayley Mills about two girls in a Catholic all girls boarding school. It’s in black & white.

Rushmore, so funny, so good. Editing to add: I’m not 100% it is set in a boarding school but the opening sequence makes it seems so!

The Emperors Club & Scent of A Woman - both filmed at Emma WIllard (a girls school, but in the films the schools were boys).
Death Be Not Proud - you can spot scenes filmed at Deerfield in this movie based upon the book @ Deerfield student, Johnny Gunther. OMG - the final scene at graduation makes me cry every time.
