Best Book For US History?

<p>I currently have Princeton Review. Is that good enough? Is it the best? </p>

<p>If not, what is?</p>

<p>I've heard good things about SAT II U.S. History for Dummies. Anyone know if it's any good or hear anything similar?</p>

<p>I used Kaplan, found it pretty useful. I heard the PR APUSH guide isn't very good, but I've never tried the SAT guide.</p>

<p>Browsing through the dummies book, it looked detailed and entertaining enough.</p>

<p>I used Sparknotes US History. I had a 550 before and it pumped me study harder. Used this text exclusively (relatively short and big lettering) and scored a 790 (1pt from 800) on the official CB practice test (the one they sell).</p>

<p>My son got 11 correct out of 16 on the collegeboard US History practice exam before he took the Oct test. He did not study AT ALL before taking the actual test in October and we just got his score, he got a 750. So don't let the cb practice test scare you!</p>

<p>Sorry this doesn't help you find a good study book, though. I'd suggest reviewing your notes from your US History classes (that's what I wanted my son to do... but he had tossed his notebooks from last year)</p>
