What books have you used that you think really helped you cinch a good score? What are the best books you'd recommend for the SAT, ACT, and other tests?

The official books: The Official SAT Study Guide and The Real ACT Prep Guide

You need those ^.

And you need determination and desire to get a good score if you're not a genius.

Official books for both tests and Cracking the SAT and ACT (two sep books).

Official books for both, as others mentioned. The official SAT one is great as it has like 8 full fledged tests in there for you to practice. After you've taken all the practice tests in these, just keep looking for more practice tests to take (online at sparknotes or just getting Princetons, Barrons, Kaplans, etc.).

This is gonna sound stupid, but is the Official SAT book the same one as what everyone calls the "Blue Book?"

I feel very naive now.

Yes, the Official book is the "blue book."

yeah the blue blook is the best

THe BB....hands down.
