Best Brunch in Durham, NC?

Does anyone have suggestions for a good place to have a midweek brunch in Durham?

We will be meeting up with friends, each family doing college visits over spring break -- and brunch seems to be our only option for a meal. I've been checking Tripadvisor and Guglhupf Cafe seems highly rated. Are there other places we should consider?

I have also posted this query in the Duke forum. We'd appreciate any help!!!

We like the Washington Duke Inn on the Duke campus for brunch. The location is great, the restaurant has a pretty golf course view and they can handle a larger group easily.

Seconding Washington Duke Inn. Nice place, on the Duke campus. Good food.

I don’t need to be sold on Washington Duke. Have stayed there several times over the past few years. Beautiful hotel, great service we’re willing to pay for. But their brunch menu is way over the top. $25 for an omelet, etc. Much as I’ve learned to splurge a bit more over the years, I have a bit of trouble springing for the WaDuke brunch.

There’s a little café on Front St. (cleverly named Front Street Café). It’s north of the campus across the street from a Marriott Courtyard. It’s a tiny place, maybe 5-6 tables. But very good omelets, breakfast sandwiches, fresh breads, coffee, etc.

If you’re a diner person (guessing with a name like VeganMom, maybe not), Elmo’s near the East Campus has good diner food.
