<p>I have many options in Canada but only want the best I can get.</p>
<p>I want to pursue a business degree, and eventually an MBA (MBA prob in the U.S.), but for my undergrad Canada makes the most sense (given the fact it's way cheaper and a bcom is a bcom)...BUT, I want opinions on what University in Canada is the best for business....basically, what school is most recognized to Americans and would be considered the most "prestigious".</p>

<p>I think trying to pick out a single best Canadian business school will just lead to a massive argument. Schulich, Ivey, Rotman and Queens are all top class in Canada. </p>
<p>Between those four, having gone to one rather than the other would not affect your MBA application, in terms of brand name and prestige at least. Be warned, though, that Rotman is part of the University of Toronto, which apparently has pretty stiff grade deflation. This could work against you later on if you apply somewhere that simply compares the raw GPA of its applicants as a way to select students.</p>

<p>Schulich is one of the best business schools, ironic, because it's at York which has a pretty bad reputation, at least in toronto. But IMO i think schulich is to graduate level focused whereas Ivey is more undergrad focused.</p>

<p>IMO Sauder would be in the next tier, along with Molson, McGill and Degroote. All very good schools.</p>
<p>My plan as it stands is to get into a top Canadian business school, and then after my 4 years of undergraduate business studies, move to a top university in the US (be it Harvard, Stanford, Princeton etc) for my MBA.</p>

<p>Most people I've talked to (and I have done a fair bit of research) agree that Ivey is probably the best program in the country, at least for undergrad.</p>

<p>From the little experience my friend and I have in the business majors, I've heard that there's a lot of overlap between the undergrad and graduate programs. That is also one of the main reasons why most of my friends and I decided to major in something... less abstract and more applicable for undergrad.</p>
<p>Ofcourse I've never had any experience regarding the MBA programs, so I'm not quite sure, but the above is just something I've always heard of and believed to be true.</p>

<p>See the thing is though, even if the undergrad and MBA education is very similar (and does indeed overlap), graduating with an MBA out of somewhere like Harvard looks exceptionally good and gives you the luxury of holding a very prestigious degree - which would certainly help you get some top tier jobs.</p>
<p>I'd more go for an MBA in the states just for the prestige, regardless if it overlaps with the things I learned in undergrad.</p>
<p>Oh definitely sauder. No question at all on that one. Look at the stats. definitely the hardest to get into. the only reason the Ontario schools are coming up here is the vast majority of people on here are from Ontario.</p>
<p>most recognized to Americans or most prestigious would be McGill hands down. Not so much their business school, but the university as a whole.</p>
<p>next best bet would be Ivey. Western sucks but their business school is really good.</p>
