<p>nope, I was not on the list. I am still keeping my hopes up for a $5000 one that I was 1 out of 3 finalists for. I hope I actually get that one and am not the loser finalist!</p>
<p>European - sorry about BB - good luck on your other one. We were talking the other day that these scholarships are a numbers game - you'll get one and be rejected for another. Different applicants, different weights on criteria, and different eyes looking at them! $5K sounds good!</p>

<p>I don't think this scholarship was need-based, if I recall correctly. I would say a combination of academic/community service/essay.</p>
<p>D got $2000 from BB and $1000 from Comcast. Assume it was her community service that pushed her into the finals. Good bye to Perkins loan for this year!</p>
