Best campus to live on at Rutgers

Which of Rutger's New Brunswick campuses is the best to live on as a freshman female?

Uh...female?...Douglass/Cook? Douglass has all-girls housing available.

I don't know. I guess if you want peace and quiet, Douglass/Cook is the way to go. College Ave is good if you want a social atmosphere with frat parties and whatnot. Livingston doesn't have a good reputation for some reason, but I assume it is kind of a mixture of Douglass/Cook and College Ave -- quiet, yet social. Livingston tends to have a lot of first years. Busch? Don't know too much except a lot of science and engineering majors dorm here. Plus you have the football stadium nearby and other athletic activities.

If you want it big and exciting live on college ave. If you like nature and would rather hang out with more females live on Cook/Douglass. If your a science major (even if you aren't) and you like to party but don't want to witness the craziness 24/7 live on Busch. Also people may think too much into but the dining halls are vastly different. Here's a rundown. Busch and Cook/Douglass are essentially tied in the dining hall food, Douglass has better takeout though. Livingston's dining hall sucks but it has awesome takeout. College Ave pretty much has terrible food at both, but has the advantage of the restaurants and grease trucks on college ave. So yeah. Also don't set your sights on one, seeing how freshman pretty much get placed randomly (unless you sign up for all girls housing on Douglass, there is a good chance you'll get that).

Don't live on Livingston....

Hahaha, it seems like EVERYBODY hates Livingston...

I lived on Livingston... and well it's not horrible. It's definitely the neglected campus but if RU ever decides to stop wasting its money, it will eventually have new dorms and academic buildings constructed. A new dining hall similar to Busch is already underway. Of course, these renovations only help you if you are like the Class of 2048.

Haha, okay thanks for the input I appreciate it.

A word about Cook/Douglass. I lived there 1st semester and hated it. The bus ride from there to college ave is half an hour each way. That can eat a lot of time out of your day.
