Ha it's all relative. Oakland to Chabot, that's worth it for me. HAYWARD AIN't GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU??? hahaha Chabot is ****ty compared to foothill/De Anza I know it :p

Diablo Valley College is supposed to be one of the best- they have a good matricualtion rate to both Cal and UCLA.

My dad went to Chabot when he was are age, lived right next to it literaly.

You can only get into both UCB and UCLA, if you go to my CC (And no I am not biased !) Yup, true story.

anybody in CC and wanting to transfer to either UCB, UCLA, or UCSD in engineering. i just want to share information and academic profiel to see what my chances are and wut should i expect to do

Try a search on this forum. The few transferring engineering majors who post often on this forum have posted their info in the past.

if im from a community college from NYC, and i would like to attend a university in cali, like maybe UCLA, would they consider someone from cali rather than NYC, even if i have better stats.

yes haha sucker lol the beauty of our transfer system...u'd have to be extra special for UCLA to let you in, i'd think since you're out of state and everything

jmerc, have you considered doing your community college years here in Cali?

I mean, it'd be easier to follow with the specific articulation agreements our CCs and UCs have. Also, you have the 'benefit' of being able to get in with lower stats compared to OOS.

yeah definitely true. UCs give extreme preference to CC students. u still have chances but if the school u wanna get into and the major u wanna apply is an impacted one then i say it would very unlikely unless u end up with at least a 3.9 and have a good profile(comm. service and all that)
