best cell carrier for princeton?

hi all,
i'll be at princeton next fall and was planning on getting a cell phone. what carrier do most students use and what's generally the best carrier as far as signal strength and consistency goes?

does the school have deals with any carriers?

thanks,
ptown

Cingular isn't that bad. That's what I use.

And no, there are no deals.

How's T-Mobile?

best are t-mobile, cingular, and verizon.

sprint is the worst

sprint has bad service anywhere

pcs stands for pretty crappy service

hahahahhaa yea i use to have sprint and i couldnt get service in my house....sad :(

no, t-mobile is really bad in New Jersey (and really bad in NY, if not everywhere....)
Verizon seems to work everywhere, but the Cingular/AT&T merger means they have the biggest network right now, so any of the two will be good. My dad, who worked in New Jersey for a while, used AT&T and it worked great. They also tend to be cheaper and have more choices for cell phones than Verizon.
