Best Cell Phones/Plans?

I recently purchased a motorola Razr V3 in Pink with Verizon Wireless and was wondering if anyone else has had this phone and what they think of it and if i should purchase insurance on the phone. Also for those that have verizon is it good?

I've always found Verizon and Cingular have the best service...

Cingular's great. I get bars in the metro.

don't get sprint it sucks, everyone i know who has it doesnt like it. my whole family doesnt like it. we're switching ocne our contracts are up. Verizon is def the best. but razors break easily.

LG8300... no probs here.. verizon is pretty good.....

What do you guys think of the MotoRazr Maxx thats soon to come out? I'm planning to get it. Does anyone want to give a guess on how much it might cost for one?

Verizon rocks. I personally hate razrs, though, cause the keys don't stick up and it's way too light. =P

I wouldn't buy insurance on it cause you might as well just get a new phone if it gets stolen/lost.

i have T Mobile and i have a plan where its $30/month for 300 minutes per month and free weekends, but im switching to a new plan soon with my dad where we'll get 1000 minutes for $50/month and talk to each other free and still free weekends.

wow...like you really needed to know that. ohh well i havent rambled yet today it had to happen eventually.

Oh the best part about Verizon is unlimited free Verizon-to-Verizon calls. And everyone (at least in my area) has Verizon.

Most services have free calling within their network.

I guess I meant to say "the best part about Verizon is unlimited free Verizon-to-Verizon calls because most of my friends have Verizon."

GreenDayFan, do you like T-Mobile's service?

I have Cingular... The family plan thing! I can talk to my parents for free and stuff. I have no clue how much it costs though!

you mean you dont have to pay? do you have a job?

^ haha sadly enough no! I'm only 14! I wish I had a job!

Thank god my mom pays for it though because she uses it for work and wastes a lot of minutes, probably 700 or so a month. She has to do a lot of long distance calls too. The other day she was calling Florida?!?!?!?!?!

haha do you get charged extra for long distance? yeah right now i only get fricken 300 mins/month but im switching to 1000 soon so its all good.

^ I think thats what we have. 1,000 minutes, but me and my dad barely use it unless we are calling my mom, but then it's free! Anyway, I seriously never really use it, only in when I have to, not to be "cool". This month I haven't charged it for like 2 weeks and when it was charged I never called anyone on it so I wouldn't be surprised if I only have like 25 minutes on my phone!

I have a Sidekick, and I haven't had any problems with T-Mobile. My family's had the family plan since I was in 6th or 7th grade I think. Whoo families talk free! haha

I got my first "real" cell phone in June after I had some money from a new job. I got the basic plan from Verizon, $39.99 a month for Unlimited In-calling, free nights and weekends, no roaming, and 450 additional minutes. I also started with 250 texts for $5, but just recently upgraded to Unlimited In-texts and 500 additional for $10. When I set up my account, I just got one of the phones that was free with activation. However, I do wish I would've spent the money then to get a better phone, with a camera and all, but I didn't have the money then, and they're like $200 to buy now.

Nextel is pretty good. Free nights and free weekends. Plus, the phone is really durable. You can drop it(which happens) and it won't break because they are really strong, sturdy phones. Also, when you talk to people with Nextel or Sprint, it's free.
