I really like Humboldt and no one really ranks it as the best or worst CSU, so I don’t know where it would fall into in terms of best or worst for that major or in general. I also like Fresno, Sacramento, and Long Beach.
for teaching, nearly all the CSUs have very good programs. Humboldt would be fine but, visit before you decide. It is really remote and kinda funky (some love it - others hare it).
Sonoma has an accelerated program that will put you,credential in hand. in a k-6 teaching job within 4 years. If you KNOW that’s for you, that’s pretty compelling. I understand other CSUs have similar programs but, SSU is the only one I am certain of.
The top 5 are probably
SDSU
Long Beach
Chico
Sonoma
Fullerton
But the others will give you credible degree and you won’t have trouble getting a job from Sac, Fresno or another.
