CSUMB, Sonoma State, SFSU, Humboldt State?

Ive been accepted to these schools and am having difficulty deciding where to attend.
Ive visited all but Humboldt and I really like them all.

I love SFSU campus but Im not really fond of the area and Ive heard that it can take 5-6 years to graduate because its so impacted.

Sonoma State has really nice dorms and a super pretty campus, but I dont really know much about the school.

CSUMB had pretty good dorms, but most of the campus is so ugly. Even though the campus is ugly, I love the monterey Bay area (Ive lived there for the past couple years) Im in love with the beaches and all the marine life but I dont know if thats enough reason to go there.

I know Humboldt has a super beautiful campus but it may be a bit secluded for me.

Do you have any experience with these schools? What are the pros and cons of each? Especially if you, or someone you know, has gone there.

What is your major? That might help determine where you end up

I attended Sonoma State and graduated from SFSU .Your major is a key factor.

Im undecided but Im sure Im not majoring in a science. I know that Humboldt is pretty big on sciences. Im kind of leaning toward something like International Studies, but im still really not sure.

SFSU is the least residential campus on the list if that is important to you

CSUMB and HSU are both strong in sciences and are the two least impacted schools on the list. I think of all of them you are most likely to get out of CSUMB in 4 years w/ HSU being a close second

SSU is great for its access to San Francisco and its beauty. It is becoming a well respected school that offers a good solid undergraduate experience but students can have trouble getting their classes and Rohnert Park isn’t exactly hopping.

I do think that a student can have a good experience just about anywhere but advise you to try to visit again all of them between now and May to figure out what works best for you.

If international studies is your area you might consider SF simply for the exposure to international opportunities

Monterey might be another one as there is a graduate school for international affairs in the area

I thought CSUMB was beautiful, but I’m told it doesn’t appeal to every one. CSUMB and Sonoma are nice among CSU’s for their small size.

bleh im waiting for my letter of acceptance :(

i been accepted eastbay, chico, and fresno
