im planning to transfer from my ccc to a CSU or a UC. Im not sure how the csu's rank up, does anyone know the top 10 california state universities in cali? My major is finance. thanks

These are some good campuses to look at:

Cal Poly SLO
San Diego State
CSU Long Beach

best of luck

San Francisco State and San Jose State are well-regarded too.

Also, CSU East Bay has a good business program, but it's mainly non-traditional students.

Cal State Fullerton has a really good business program as well.

Which is really better a CSU or a UC??? ive talked to both some people saying one is better than the other. WHat is your opninion?

Woops. Take two.

Well, UCs are more "prestigious" if that's your thing, but they're also more expensive and they're more research-focused. Undergrad education is sometimes shortchanged - ask anyone at Cal who's had 500-person lecture sections.

The CSU system offers a perfectly good education, but usually at more "commuter" type schools and without the UC prestige factor. There are a few CSUs with strong residential feels (San Diego, Sonoma, Humboldt, Chico, Fresno) but they're the exception rather than the rule.

Just like with just about any of these college questions, there is no true way to quantify "which is better" in a blanket manner. It depends on what you want out of a college. If you want an education in nuclear physics, you probably want a UC. However, if you want to become a teacher, CSUs have a long, strong tradition of quality there.
