Best dorms at University of Arizona?

Which dorms are the best?

My son will be a freshman so we have no experience, but from my research speaking with students and online, the Highland area is the best location, as it’s central, close to the store, stadium, and rec center. Likins is the newest and looked like a hotel! Large hallways, large rooms. Athletes stay there, as do others, who can get a spot. PSP, VDP, and Pueblo are the newer brick dorms and rooms have high ceilings which make them feel larger. PSP was the honors dorm before Arbol was built and is for honor students only. Arbol is new and deluxe and is where orientation was for overnighters - far location, however, along with the two big party dorms, AZ-Sonora and Coronado. Babcock is a former motel so they have their own bathrooms but I hear it’s a dive. Yuma has connecting rooms with bathroom in between that they have to clean themselves and is a theme dorm. Navaj-Pino is located below the stadium and has large rooms. Here’s the list of dorms: http://www.life.arizona.edu/home/housing-options/hall-descriptions

I lived in Arbol freshman year - it and Likins are like living in 5-star hotels, definitely worth the price. After those two I would say any of the newer dorms located on Highland are the next nicest, then AzSo/Coronado, then the rest. Highland area is great, but is so is the area where Arbol, Coronado and AzSo are. A ton of kids live in those three dorms alone and you have your own student union (PSU) right there which makes for great access to food. Although that location is on the corner of campus, distance really isn’t an issue if you like walking or have a bike.
