Anyone know what the best Engineering [particularly Computer Engineering / Electrical Engineering] School in NYC is?

From what I know and have heard: Columbia SEAS.

Uh, I'd put Cooper Union quite a bit ahead of SEAS (unless you want to combine engineering with something else and/or plan on pursuing a professional degree). But CU isn't exactly a typical college.

Yeah I heard SEAS is good for a well rounded education of not just engineering... or something like that.

Or any other colleges around the area/can get to NYC very easily?

ohnoes is correct, my bad. Cooper Union is the best school for solely Engineering in NYC, but the problem is that it isn't well-known. I'm not from the NYC or New England area so I'm not too familiar with the Engineering Schools in the city. NYC doesn't necessarily have many good engineering schools, but New York, as a state, has many, including: Cornell University, University of Rochester, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Rochester Institute of Technology, University of Buffalo (decent), and Clarkson University (decent).

New York state also has the US Military Academy and a little, both in size and notariety, known great engineering school that specializes in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, Webb Institute. Both less than an hour from NYC.

Columbia SEAS

Columbia SEAS has a much nicer campus than Cooper Union and is also better known worldwide. From an educational standpoint, either would be an excellent choice.
