Does anyone have any good summer programs for juniors that are free of cost?? Most programs are so expensive
what area of study are you looking into?
If you are a POC apply for fly in programs. From my own experience and classmates they significantly increase your chances of getting accepted. It is competitive, but just apply to as many as you can.
health science, psych, neuroscience, anything like that!
The best summer programs are actually free (e.g. RSI, TASP, etc.) The only problem is that they’re ultra-competitive.
well, I’m not sure if I can really suggest anything tailored to those interests, but I would suggest looking into MIT beaver works. It’s one of the less competitive MIT programs, but it is still excellent. You have to take 1-3 online courses before the summer program, but they’re really not that difficult or time-consuming.
agreed! I’d also suggest looking at Notre Dame leadership seminars. these are stellar and all school’s across the country know about them (they also have more than just STEM!)
I’d suggest you find out first if any of these are actually happening in person this summer. The selective music programs my kid attended are already planning to do virtual this forum summer 2021.
