I’ve found some pretty obscure classes using it… Look into ALS3203. Its a really easy 3 credit elective.

Fair disclosure: I developed GatorSchedule, but I generate absolutely no positive revenue (technically its a money sink since I pay to host it, but thats neither here nor there ) from it. Its a useful tool that UF itself should have developed, but oh well. I only ask that if you like it you spread the word about it, and if you don’t, drop a comment as to why so I can improve it.

Stats 1/2, General Chemistry, Integ. Principles of Biology, General Sociology/Psychology/Anthropology, Composition/Survey of Lit, Calculus 1/2.

These are great foundation level classes that many liberal arts majors require and it is VERY nice to have them done and out of the way in your freshmen year. At the same time they are not fluffy mickey mouse type classes. Maybe in the answer to this question those were the types of classes you are looking for, but I do not suggest taking them. If I could go back I would have never taken a single fluff class and done all these my first year. I still have to take english classes and Calculus 2 and I am a junior.

D had cultural anthropology 2410 her first semester. It fulfilled the general diversity credit, which was the only gen ed category she needed to fulfill. I don’t see her teacher listed in the fall so I can’t tell you about the other teachers, but she said that class turned out to be interesting (hadn’t had anthro before), and pretty easy. They did one tiny “research” project/paper … with a partner. So easy … topic about something that’s changed the way we look at things as a culture (technology, social networking …lots of choices to choose from) and then you interview a few people of different age groups about the topic you choose and write a very short paper about it. Seriously … not difficult at all.
