I am very interested in taking an interesting, semi-easy history course this upcoming semester. If anyone knows of any post them here. I have AP credit for all 100 level history courses so they must be 200 level and above,

Interesting is subjective, and semi-easy isn’t guarenteed in any class. I would scour ratemyprofessors.com for a while and find a class you like that has a professor who is rated as easy or interesting or both.

Has anyone taken any history courses that they would highly recommend?

History 210 (Early Middle Ages) was really interesting to me, but I think that was mainly the professor, who is not teaching that course this fall. The content was still interesting, though.

I’d recommend taking a class with Hussein Fancy. He’s a good lecturer, a fair professor, and a genuinely interesting man to know.

history 260 and 261 are interesting (general american history) are both good. i dont know if youre interested in upper level history courses (300 and 400) but I can recommend some of those too.

The section of History 328 (Humanities Topics in History) that’s called the history of forensic pathology is really interesting, but it’s a lot of work and might not be that engaging for you unless you’re interested in law or medicine. The professor is really cool though, he was the head ME on the Jeffrey Dahmer case and works in the U of M hospital. I found the class to be awesome because I eventually want to go into criminal law.

If you want a more basic history class, History 201: The Roman Empire is also interesting, and the GSIs are all very cool.
