Hey guys, I'm going to apply for housing soon and was wondering what's the best housing for transfer students? I would much rather live with sophomores than freshman. Thanks a lot!

I transferred into Penn last year–you’ll basically just get whatever openings are left. The first transfers to send back the housing information mostly filled up the openings in Sampson and Hill. I procrastinated and got Harrison. If you want to live with upperclassman rather than freshmen, I would try and stay out of Hill/the Quad.

Is it possible for transfers to get into a high rise dorm?

Apply for residential programs if you’re a transfer student. I knew two transfers that lived in the Latino program in Harnwell

ohhhh how do u apply for residential programs? Do u just indicate it on ur housing app? And also, for transfers, u can’t really apply for housing until after u have paid the deposit and clicked the online reply rite?

You just indicate the housing program you want, transfer students don’t have to write essays.

I believe you can fill out the housing form before you pay the deposit, but I really have no clue[they prob won’t look at it until after you do].

@Ruthless,
not only is it possible to live in the highrises as a transfer, that is where they most likely will place you.
