Best internship for getting into film production

Hey everyone! I posted this on the Film & Visual Arts board, but I figured a cross-post would help garner more replies.

I'm a current Wharton student who wants to eventually break into film production and screenwriting. I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of the best companies (preferably paid) to work for to get connections/experience next summer.

bumpidy bump bump :)

First off, love your screen name! You may want to look into an internship with the Cannes Film Festival. I don’t know if it’s paid, and it probably will cost you some big bucks, but if you’re as much of a film buff as I think you are, you would probably enjoy the experience!

Haha I’m not sure that I could handle another run-in with Billy Walsh!

In all seriousness, I’ve been looking at different companies’ pages, but really NBC is the only one with internships listed (and it appears that they are unpaid).

Have you thought about the Disney college program? You’d probably start out cleaning bathrooms, but hey, you’ve got to get your foot in the door.
