Best law schools for energy law?

I am interested in doing energy (particularly oil and gas) law. Would The University of Houston be a good idea since that is where the oil and gas industry is?

I’d say yes, but if you have the grades and LSAT for UT-Austin, try UT-Austin too.

I wouldn’t really recommend[/url”>http://www.lstscorereports.com/schools/houston/2013/]recommend it.At a roughly 30% chance to get a job capable of paying back your tuition, there are far better bets. The obvious choice is, as Catria said, UT[/url”>http://www.lstscorereports.com/schools/texas/2013/]UT, which places far more of its graduates into jobs.

The rank of a lot school and your ranking with in it are what matters for the most part, not some specialization like energy/law.

What are your grades and LSAT anyway? Then I can say whether you should aim for UT-Austin or not.
